Mourning the loss of our dear friend Rob BecherTuesday, January 07, 2014
We lost our beloved friend and greatest Quinebaug Kennel fan on January 7th, 2014. The only solace in this tragedy is that Rob died doing something he absolutely loved.... Duck Hunting. Rob was an avid fisherman, hunter, outdoorsman, conservationist, Labrador Retriever lover, and one of the very best friends anyone could ask for. Rob called Jennifer his "soul mate". They were extremely dear friends, hunting buddies, and shared a true passion for dogs.
Rob worked with Quinebaug Kennels for about 1 year before he was offered a wonderful position with Cabela's in East Hartford in a prestigious sales job with their Power Sports Department. Rob excelled in any task that was given to him. Rob could light up a room when he entered and wanted to leave knowing he brightened everyone's day and made new friends. Rob's ever positive attitude, glorious smile, words of encouragement and support were unmatched. He was truly a special human being.
Rob's shining star and best friend was his yellow Labrador Retriever Cody. They were always found together hunting, hiking, playing, boating, cuddling and enjoying life. Cody is now in the loving care of his Brother's family.
Quinebaug Kennels plans to dedicate a special memorial to Rob during their Grand Opening this Spring. It would be our honor to commemorate this fantastic man, Veteran, friend, and dog lover.
Rob, you will FOREVER live in our hearts! Please go to Meet The Team and read more about Rob.
