> Tuesday, May 18: Basic Leash Obedience
This class goes over basic leash skills for gun dogs in training. Pups must be at least 5 months old to attend the class. Learn how to use the Wonder Lead to teach the basic commands of heel, sit, and down. Jennifer will demonstrate proper leash techniques so that pups learn how to walk attentively and respectfully on lead with their handlers.

> Tuesday, May 18: Introducing a Puppy to Birds and Gunshot
Learn how to properly introduce your puppy to game birds. Bring out their inner predator and have them carrying around birds right away. Dogs are not born gun shy! Learn how to best introduce your pup to noise and gunshot.

> Tuesday, June 22: Force Fetching Your Hunting Dog to Retrieve
Learn how to begin teaching the Conditioned Retrieve. Having your gun dog deliver right to your hand means more birds and improved partnership. It is also the foundation work for advanced skills such as multiple retrieves and hand signals.

Learn great techniques for marking drills to improve your gun dog's field performance. Exciting drills and ideas so you can keep your gun dog tuned up during the off season and further advance their field skills.

Ever wonder how to teach hand signals so that your gun dog can follow your commands to pick up blind retrieves? Step by step training tips to get your dog following your hand signals.

Learn valuable techniques to teach the Whoa command to your pointing dog. Reinforcing the Whoa helps to promote steadiness to bird flush, shot, and honoring. Easy step by step methods to get your pointing dog successfully steady.

New for 2009 and 2010

DeCoverly Kennels

We are teaming up with DeCoverly Kennels English Setters to assist in their started through finished dog program. This fall we hand picked 2 young setters and have been working with them for 2 months. "Quinny" is a 15 month old blue and white female and "Banner" is a 15 month old tri-color male. Both dogs have spent the past 3 months getting roaded on our ATVs twice a day to build up their muscles and field stamina, they have spent their days socializing with other dogs, have been learning manners, obedience and have been getting lots of field and bird work. Both of these wonderful setters are prime examples of DeCoverly Kennel's top notch breeding program!

Jennifer has been working closely with the developers of a wonderful canine supplement company to create a custom Quinebuag Kennels daily joint, vitamin and mineral and probiotic formula specifically combined into a daily supplemental dose.
